The Truth Trampled by the Silent Scream
It speaks about abortion in negative ways, With peoples emotions, games will be played. It claims at 12 weeks a fetus can feel pain, But there is no cerebral cortex yet inside of its brain. It claims at 12 weeks the fetus emits a scream, But its lungs aren’t developed enough to do anything it seems. Nathanson claims late-term abortion is done 4,000 times a day, When it’s only done 389 times daily is what he won’t say. To top it all off that was before the 1st Late-term ban, Lies in the film were told for its anti-choice plan. No ending to the lies in that film it will seem, Bernard Nathanson trampled the truth while narrating “The Silent Scream”. They used ultrasonography to target the “scream” inside the mother’s womb, But the tape was intentionally slowed down then sped up while they called a clinic a tomb. Why would a movement have ever relied…<br>On a film that was telling half-truths and several heinous lies? Because the anti-choice movement is based on a lack of compassion and the exploitation of anger, Because their foolish goal ends up with women using coathangers. So to Bernard Nathanson there is one thing I say to you, Is that I will work to show the backwards lies in all that you say and do. Because you won’t back down to me it may seem, You trampled the truth while narrating “The Silent Scream”.

I know all about this topic. Had to do a report with my group while at Presidential Classroom. It wasn't hard to find the info last year for it was the 30 yr anniversary of Roe v Wade. This is a really good poem Aaron. I really like it. Awesome write. Much love

While I think your poem is well written and makes a valid point, both sides use emotional propaganda. Its the same with anything. And since no one is inside the womb, we don't really know if there's a scream or not, its pure speculation. For someone who doesn't believe in killing, war, etc, I can't for the life of me understand why you think it is alright for a parent to kill something that they created.

Technically it's not killing, it is a structure of cells inside the mother's body, not a being, I don't consider it living until it leaves the mother's womb.

well acctually jedi, you are right and aaron is right, its killing cells. but wel kill cells doin tons of things like watching tv, smoking, drinking, etc
i would rather have an abortion and be making the choice of gettingride of the fetus than having another miscarriage and having a another fetus taken away from me without my consent. miscarriage is like....rape

I have mixed feelings on this topic. On the one hand, I think that too many young women use abortion irresponsibly. They get themselves knocked-up repeatedly, and then fall back on it to save them. Some women have had several abortions. And that is not a good thing. They should have been more responsible in the first place, using condoms and other forms of contraceptive as a preventative measure. On the Other hand, for victims of rape, or women who just can't have a child at a risk to their own lives, or if its known that the child will be born with disability, then I can see the neccessity of it. I know that if I were impregnated by a rapist, I wouldn't want to keep it. A child should be made out of love, not hate and fear. And if it turned out that having a child would kill me, then I wouldn't keep it either. Have a child and not be around to raise it myself? I don't think so. The only way I'd be sure It got what it needed is if I'm there to provide for it myself. And if it looked like my child was going to be disabled or sickly, I just couldn't bring it into the world knowing that it would not have an equal chance to thrive.

I am sitting on the fence for this one... I believe in it, yet I don't. I guess I believe its the choice of the women that are pregnant. But I don't think I'll understand how they can "kill" a child, no- it may not yet be a child, but it would have if you hadn't "killed" the cells. I guess why I feel this way is because I am the product of rape, yet my mother kept me, and LOVED me for all my life...for 22 yrs so far.... I'll admit I don't like the idea of being created out of hate and not love...But I will never say I'm sorry to be alive. Truly I some days,well most, think I wish I was dead, but never because I am "reminder" of rape....cause a product of rape or not, I'm still me..... So this subject, I'm on both sides.... >>Heavy Hearted<< BTW great poem, nice writing....
