She’s Still Beautiful
She feels that she’s hideous because she is breaking out, She’s holding her head in shame, not feeling as the same old beautiful girl she is. She’s crying in tears she feels all alone with nobody who knows…<br>What it’s like to have these marks that can suddenly appear, To have to cover herself up in sweaters and jeans and long skirts, All of the time. Because she’s afraid for people to see her disorder. One friend who knew who tried comforting her, Told her he wasn’t afraid to hold her, It only made her feel more guilty, more self-conscious, And more like she was not fit to be seen. When what he meant by that, and what he should have said, Was that she is still beautiful to him, That she needs not hide anything away, He still loves her for who she is, he doesn’t want her in pain, He only wishes that she can see that she is…. Still beautiful.
