It sparkles in the glass
calling me in deep.
Begging me to drink it
Making my sanity mine to keep.
I need to forget the demons.
to forget the everlasting fears.
I need to just live free.
Without the constant tears.
Fill that glass, one more time.
Gulp it down fast, then refill.
Drink, Drink, Drink some more.
Demons, I will ,for at least tonight kill.
Come on, party hard, live free.
Drink it down, and fly.
Live free, for just tonight.
Make those damn demons die.
Drink, Drink, drown your memories.
Live,and forget, the easy way.
Drink it down, don't you stop.
Drink, and it'll all be okay.
Drink, Drink, Drink it down.
Smile, at knowing that you're free.
come on, just forget, you can do it.
just drink, and free you'll be.
Opps, the bottle is empty,
time for the next one to come.
Make those memories go,
drink to reach freedom.
Damn, there goes half the bottle.
Time to stop, before you are to far aloof.
Drink one more glass to celebrate.
Then go scream your freedom from the roof.
You reached your goal, you forgot.
You forgot the demons that haunted you.
You forgot, and got to live free.
even if it was only for one night through.
Celebrate, you found the cure.
You made those damn demons die.
It may have only been for a night.
but you are free, so go ahead and fly......

I don't support drinking to forget life, for any reason. I rarely drink, maybe 3-6 times a yr. Its only when life gets to much, then I HAVE to forget, just for one night, so I can survive to see the next night.
Drinking does not cure you're problems, and it never will. So this poem isn't to condone drinking, to forget. Its a poem of how I reach my freedom once in a while.When I need to see that freedom.
