Mother Africa speaks Of horrors untold Of legends hidden And secrets ridden And this is what she says....
I see woman of beauty Women of strength Women dealing with horrors untold I see men caught up In days of old The new and rich Take over the soul The men they hunt They want ivory again You kill my subjects You should die too My beautiful creatures My wonderful friends You've tortured and beaten And driven them away
You light skin people Insist on the enslavement Insist on the death Of those who are "different" Look around and see though Dear Mr. Kurtz Who is the savage one after all? And when on that boat Travelling home I hope you see the horror you have caused I hope you see The pain The agony The death The horror You have bestowed On my "dark lands" Come into my darkness Come see my heart Who is the savage one For it is not from my part
Kurtz speaks his final words Travelling away from her heart "The horror, the horror" And with that he dies Realizing all he's done They weren't the savage ones It was him
