The Jerk Gets the Girl, The Nice Guy Gets the Shaft
A fairy tale told to boys around the world,
The one that nice guys will get the girl.
But the truth that lies behind all this,
Is that nice guy will hear her cry because she’s not in bliss.
For a boyfriend who beats her while she pretends it’s all fine,
Or the jerk who cheats on her from time to time.
And it’s frustrating for us, the nice guy who likes sex,
Because when you try it on the girl you like they say “You’re just like my ex.”<br>Because the truth of the matter is they were taught sex makes you bad,
So when a nice guy wants some she thinks of the other guys that she’s had.
So you get lucked out while the asshole gets laid,
She’ll cry on your shoulder while he’s got it made.
Whether she likes him because she’s blind or feels insecure,
It seems like them getting their way is the one thing for sure.
She asks “Where’s a nice guy?” While you soothe her and hold her,
While screaming out inside “You’re crying on his shoulder!”<br>Open your eyes and take a look at that friend,
The one you’ve trusted so long who’s left alone in the end.
Will you go back to that bastard who treats you like shit,
Just sit for a second and think for a bit.
He makes you feel secure but he puts you in pain,
The other is good to you, but you still refrain.
One uses you, to him you’re his tart,
The other respects you and holds you deep in his heart.
Yet you go for the first and accept his proposals,
And when the other makes his move you it ends up in the disposal
Some day you’ll feel sorry when a guy who respects you is gone,
When he’s just like your boyfriend and wanted to move on.
Because the untold truth to the boys of the world,
Is that you gotta be a jerk if you wanna get a girl.
