Imagine if you will
Being a normal happy go lucky kid
Of only 8 years
Someone comes along
And offers you a goody so rare
Or you get nabbed whilst at play
After days of not knowing where
You are headed or where you are
You are sold to some strange person
Miles away from home
Sold into slavery by another cruel soul
You work days and nights
Oh so hard
You do what the boss says
Or you'll suffer unmentionable consequences
There's no family
No friends
You're all by yourself
You and numerous other children
Sold into slavery and away from family
The long hours working with cocoa plants
The long hours with fabric to make carpets
Or possibly toys for other children to play with
But not yourself
Imagine being a camel jockey or working in a house
All day long to pay off your families debt
Imagine being forced to fight
At such a young age
To fight kill and die
RIght there at the front lines
Imagine if you would
How hard this would be?
Would you think its in todays' society?
Over 20 million slaves in todays world
Many of them children
Want to know who to thank
For slavery of many children
Think of the cocoa farms in Africa
With enslaved children
With scars from whips
Thank Hershey, M&M, and Nestle
For supporting these cruel beings
The only thing to thank for all these
Childrens pain and suffering
Is Money
Capitalism at its worst
Only you don't see it do you?
Do you believe it?
You would if you were on that side of the world
In that part looking at the children
Who are worked to death
Beaten battered and bruised
From working so you
You can have your luxuries
But who wipes their tears
When they cry?
Who wipes their tears when they cry?
Do you?
You buy the chocolate they slave to get
You buy the clothes, the carpets they make
You... you keep them in this world as slaves
And for what
Cheap labor and more profits
Learn from what's happening....
Look around and see
You have people to wipe away your dirty tears
They have no one....
Now come back...
How do you feel...
