I lie in bed eyes shut to an awakened mind.
Thoughtless and calm yet completely fucking disturbed.
Tossing and turning...wanting something I can't seem to find.
UNSATISFIED and wanting more than I can have.
I'll scratch down these walls if I have to
just to have you near me.
We can paint the day black
and
pluck the stars out of the night sky.
Tonight is ours forever until
sleep selfishly
steals me away.
The kind of sleep that I yearn for.
A sleep that can make this world seem like a dream that I live in during the day.
It's time to feed the monster.
So I'll lay my head down
in hopes of never waking up.
