May I please share with you
What's wrapped inside my heart?
Days are long nights are cold
And my life? My life is hard
This will never change you see
But I do believe
There is a reason for my agony
Perhaps I will change the life of a troubled seed
One who has witnessed pain
The same pain that I have seen
I've experienced so much with my troubled soul
Acting out with anger, violence, rage
Losing control
When its breaks out of the cage
But can I be blamed for what I've done
Witnessing friends die, babies cry
And Mother losing her son?
I do thank the Lord for all of this pain
Because there are a few things that I have gained
Learned to swim, when the rain seemed to sustain
I believe I can face anything through my troubled life
And perhaps this pain that I see
Will help another see the light
