The New Theocratic Group
Aaron Graf
For now I’m going to let you the reader sort through some information on this following agenda. At the end of reading this you will be able to guess who this is. But for now here is the “Christian” agenda of this group.
On Government:
“We reclaim freedom of religious expressing in public on government property, and freedom of government interference.”
Oppose Campaign Finance Reform.
Oppose any form of gun control.
Abolish:
• Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms;
• Position of Surgeon general;
• EPA;
• Department of Energy;
• Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
• Department of Education
• Department of Commerce and Labor;
• National Endowment for the Arts.
On the Economy
Abolish the dollar in favor of the gold standard.
Abolish the IRS.
Eliminate income tax, inheritance tax, gift tax, capital gains, corporate income tax, payroll tax and property tax.
Repeal minimum wage law.
“… gradually phase out Social Security tax” for a system of “private pensions.”
On the United Nations
“…we immediately rescind our membership in, as well as all financial and military contributions to the United Nations.”
We should “evict the United Nations from the United States and eliminate any further participation.”
On Family Values
”We believe that traditional marriage is a legal and moral commitment between a man and a woman. We recognize that the family is the foundational unit of a healthy society and consists of those related by blood, marriage, or adoption. The family is responsible for its own welfare, education, moral training, conduct, and property”
“The practice of sodomy tears at the heart of our society…” “The party oppose decriminalization of sodomy.”
Oppose all forms of abortion – even in cases of rape or incest.
“We unequivocally oppose United States Senate ratification of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.”
On Education
Support official prayer in public schools.
Oppose Early Childhood Development Programs
“We support… a program based upon biblical principles…”
Terminate bilingual education.
“Since Secular Humanism is recognized by the United States Supreme Court as a religion… Secular Humanism should be subjected to the same state and federal laws as any other recognized religions.”
On The Environment
Oppose the “myth” of global warming.
Oppose EPA management of Texas air quality.
“… Jerusalem is the capital of Israel…” therefore the United Nations should move it’s capital from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
So who do you think this group of theocrats is could it be:
A. The Christian Coalition
B. Fred Phelps
C. Pat Robertson
D. The 2002 Texas Republican Party Platform
If you answered D, you are correct. That is the party we have here in the good old US of A. The old Republican Party and the moderate republicans that remain, such as John McCain, are about to be driven out of that group forever. The dream of the Christian Coalition has come true. Everybody will be Christians who never think for themselves. The dream of big businesses who can’t get enough money has come true, they have a party where ALL its candidates do not want the minimum wage. Fred Phelps has his position secured, for now homosexuals will be locked up for their crimes. Soccer moms can guiltlessly drive their SUVS and corporations can now pollute the air and water because the EPA will soon be taken away. Jerry Falwell will be very happy to see to it that artists cannot find anybody to publish their works when the National Endowment of the Arts is disbanded. Michael Savage will be happy when his dream of a monolingual culture comes true when we get rid of bilingual education. Bush will be happy when we no longer have to cooperate with the UN; after all hasn’t he done enough to get us evicted from them and have them move to a place that cooperates? Like Paris.
There is only one way to stop this kind of Christian insurgency. Do not at ALL costs vote republican. A really simple answer. Get out and vote them out. Especially if you’re a Texan. Haven’t you Texans allowed republicans to ruin your state long enough?
