Once alone, I clearly fell,
The life i knew, a living hell
I crawled and searched, for something right,
But found myself in darkest night.
So many years, I conjured up,
The courage that it took to live,
Until i found the one to give,
The things that I so needed then; a hope... a love... a chance... a friend...
My heart, i gave to one so grand,
*Was shattered by that ones own hand,
I fell again, but got back up,
Despite my blackened touch of luck.
But now I see your love is true,
A pure love like i have for you,
My broken heart pieced back together,
Bit by bit im getting better.
*Mistakes are made, and prices paid,
This part of us we cant escape,
A human being is frail, so weak,
And very often simply wrong,
But now this love you've given me,
Allows my spirit to be strong.
I've grown beyond my saddist state,
And now I feel no less than bliss,
One thing alone remains to hinder, feelings that I've gained like this,
The distance now between our hearts is more than any love should bare,
I desperately await the day when I can hold you close to me,
To feel your heart beat next to mine,
And feel as though we've stopped all time,
Suspended in a joy unequalled,
Far from everything unpeaceful,
Nothing left but love for we, who've sacrificed so selflessly,
Who've opened up and told our crimes,
Who've given in to love so fine,
Who've given up our precious time,
Who've traveled far inside our minds,
To meet with one another here.... at crossroads'.. wide, and open fields.
-----------------This is another poem dedicated to my love, Asha, I know it isnt PRO material or anything, but I spent hours on it,(im still a poetry noobie) so i hope she appreciates it and realizes how much i love her. I love you Asha.
