Gently leaning over you
I kiss you feather soft on the lips
Waking you for your trip
How I don't want you to go, but I know you will
I feel the tears start to well inside
As you groggily open your eyes
Not much rest did either of us get the night before
We really do not want to be without the other
Family is important and that is who you are off to see
In two weeks time we will be together again
This I understand, but it dose not make goodbye any easier
I bury deep my tears and fears then put on a bold face for you
I will pray the gods and goddesses keep you safe
