I am a single mother A mother to millions My children are away At a war unneeded. Tears are falling As my children Are lost to the evils Of a war unwanted. They leave me, Naïve and lost Trying to find out Who they're supposed to be. They come back Cold and distant Even if they're alive. End the suffering. I may stand tall Torch still burning, I await the return Of my children. Be them men or women, They are fighting In an unneeded war. I am completely saddened That I've lost so many Of my beloved children To this undesired This hated war. Bring my children back. A tear will fall For each child, Leaving, lost or returning, Dead or alive Make this end Make this unwanted war end.

I wrote this while at work today... I saw an email in Michael Moore's book called Will They Ever Trust Us Again? and the email name was titled "A Single Mother" and that's where my inspiration came from for this... fanks for readin!

I'm just appalled at the anti-american activity in this poem............ok right winger rant over with. I totally agree with this, was very sad, yet very very true and well written, great job Emily.
